"I pledge not to raise taxes" REALLY?

133%  increase in the amount of property taxes consumed by Larry Medaglia in his Register of Wills Office. 

Larry Medaglia has gone from a budget surplus in 2009 to deficit of $69,000 in 2010 to an enormous deficit of over $160,000 according to the 2011 Berks County Budget available for public inspection at

The link above is the official Budget approved by the Republican majority Commissioners.  The increase in the use of property taxes to fund Larry’s deficit represents the use of 133% more property tax than the prior year.

While Larry Medaglia has taken a paper pledge not to vote to increase taxes this has not stopped him from spending our property taxes at an ever increasing rate.  We cannot believe he will carry out his pledge when he cannot manage to balance the budget of one small County Department.  While the average taxpayer has to reduce their spending Medaglia increases his office’s spending at an ever alarming rate all on the backs of the property tax payers of Berks County.

Medaglia has increased the use of property tax money in Berks, he’ll do it in the State too!
